How Our Service Works

When you call Love Your Pet™ pet sitters, we will schedule a visit your home shortly before you leave.

Our free pet sitting consultations are conducted by the pet sitter who has been preassigned by Love Your Pet’s owner, Lorraine Zdeb. Lorraine determines which pet sitter is best suited for the care of your pets based on your location, the type of pets you have, their schedule and any special needs they may have.

Meet & Greet

During this visit, we will go over and document detailed information on each of your pets, pick up a key to your home, go over how often you would like us to visit each day that you are away, and which services you would like performed. Fees are based on the number of, and type of pets you have, the number of visits per day, and the types of services required.

Likes, Dislikes & Routine

We will review your pet's routine and feeding schedule and you can show us where the food, bowls, litter boxes, litter, treats, medication, toys, leashes, harnesses, trash cans and cleaning supplies are kept. Please let us know of any favorite toys, treats, types of play and games, walk routes, places to sleep, nicknames, and if you'd like us to turn on the tv or radio to keep them company. We will also need emergency contact and veterinarian information.

Trust & Comfort

The most important part of the Meet & Greet is that it gives us an opportunity to get to know your pets. Trust is important, and we want both of you to be comfortable. We want to know your pet's likes and dislikes. For example, some cats are more sensitive than others regarding where they like us to pet them. In addition to your pet's likes, please inform us of any nervous behaviors such as urinating or hiding and whether they are afraid of loud noises such as thunder.

House, plants & mail

In addition to providing individual care for your pets, Love Your Pet™ will be happy to water your plants and give your home that “lived in” look by bringing in your mail/newspapers, as well as alternating lights and opening and closing draperies at no extra charge.

A Helping Hand

Even if you are not leaving home for an extended period of time, there may be other instances that we may be of service. Unusual working hours, and lengthy illnesses may make it difficult for you to care for your pet. In the event that your pet is in need of special care such as insulin injections or subQ fluids and you are uncomfortable doing it yourself, WE CAN HELP!

Welcome Home!

After your return home, your professional pet sitter will return your key, and make sure that you AND your pet are satisfied!
